Sharon Ya'ari

Visiting Artist

The large scale photographs of the Israeli artist Sharon Ya'ari, go out to the actual landscape, both physical and human, and compose a mosaic of details which formulate the actual elements of the Israeli space.
He photographs seemingly mundane scenes throughout the country, on suburban fringes of cities. His photographs capture ephemeral moment, in-between spaces suspended between what was left behind and what has yet to come. He looks at the products of the utopian and unreal attempt of the Israeli place to be and to contain the European illusion in the Middle East.
