Anywhere But Here

Anywhere But Here:
Impressions from GW Study Abroad

Curated by Chelsea Souza and Meredith Crimmins, BA in Art History students
October 3 – October 22, 2011
This show explored the impact of study abroad experiences on an artist's work and life. Experiences abroad have long influenced artists’ work and have produced some of the best art of their careers, including Eugene Delacroix, Claude Monet, and Mary Cassatt. Studying abroad is a quintessential part of a student's experience at the George Washington University, and the show explored its lasting impact.
